We are a family of 6 who moved from WA to the beautiful North West of Tasmania in 2007. We live on 50 acres of bushland with some pasture for our house cow and pony. We got our first corgi, Willow, in 2018 and had our first litter in 2020. Having our first litter was both exciting and daunting, but we loved the experience.

Pembroke Welsh Corgis just seem to tick all the boxes for us. They are not too big and boisterous or too small and fragile. While they have a working dog heritage and need exercise it doesn’t hit the extremes of the border collie/kelpie breeds. They are generally healthy and, well, we just like how they look too with their pricked ears and long nose. We also appreciate the cheerful and perky attitude of the Pembroke.

There have, of course, been good times and bad times along the way with the dogs, and we are thankful that we have a supportive family who are committed to putting in the time and effort that is required. Breeding is both a challenge and a joy. It is amazing how quickly the puppies just worm their way into your heart, and they are so very fragile at first. We spend a lot of time and effort ensuring that the puppies stay healthy and safe and are brought up to be well adjusted, optimistic and resilient for when they go to their new homes. We follow the Puppy Culture program to help us achieve that result.

We are a registered breeder with Dogs Australia (the new name of the Australian National Kennel Council), through Dogs Tasmania (as there is a separate entity for each state).
